Glass Wing Pendant

from $25.00

Want to own a piece of a project I went above and beyond on? This was a “multiples” project where I was required to make at least 30 of one thing to get a good understanding of glass as a medium. I made 105 pendants and hung them over a course of 10 hours. Some of you may even remember catching that hanging stream in my old school building. It was a temporary art piece, meant to represent the fragility of the individual with strength in numbers.

Own a Piece of one of Ariel’s biggest glass project to date

Each pendant was hand sculpted on a torch with borosilicate glass. The loops are small enough I could hang them with an Illusion Beading Cord, 0.25 mm / .010 in. There is variation in the loop sizing, but majority of them are pretty small, so it may be hard to hang it off a chain as a necklace. I could not fit my clasps through the loop to fit it on a chain. I do not recommend forcing anything through the loops if it doesn’t initially fit.

Return Policy

These are hand sculpted glass pendants. I can NOT guarantee they will not break. In fact, the connections are a bit weak, so I do not recommend buying one of these pendants if you expect it to hit things regularly and stay in tact. I am willing to replace your piece if it arrives broken, but not in the case of breaking after received.

Recommended Uses: window hanger, desk/wall decoration. Depending on how careful you are with your books, this could also be a nice bookmark charm, but if it gets knocked around, it may break off the connector. Just like you, I want you to enjoy your piece for as long as possible, so talk to me about ideas you have for your pendant. I’ll happily give you my thoughts.
